The Wind Tamer is a unique item in and is one of four Vessels that can be found and equipped in the game. When selected, Vessels grant the Destined One active and passive effects. Consume Qi to trigger Wind Tamer’s active effect of immunity from strong winds, a key environmental feature in Chapter Two and a particularly useful resource against the Yellow Wind Sage.
Only one Vessel can be equipped at a time. Understanding the enemies of a region informs Vessel selection. They are also easy-to-miss items if the you doesn’t stray off the main path to encounter mini-bosses and complete side quests, as is the case for finding Wind Tamer. Complete two side quests and enter a secret location to acquire this Vessel. Take down Fuban, and Wind Tamer will be rewarded.
Relics are a driving force in the story of Black Myth: Wukong. Upon collection, they offer the Destined Ones new perks and passive skills.
To find the Man-In-Stone in, fight through Sand Gate Village to reach the Fright Cliff area in Chapter Two. Make sure to activate the Keeper’s Shrine in Squall Hideout, near the location of Man-In-Stone. The path right of the shrine will lead you to a ravine guarded by palestones. The ravine can be crossed by a natural land bridge formation. Instead of crossing, drop into the ravine from the bridge. At the end of the lower path, you’ll come across an NPC. Talk to Man-In-Stone to initiate the quest.
If struggling to find the Man-In-Stone, listen for the NPC’s voice queues. He is trapped and, thus, calling for help.
The quest has three straightforward phases. First, recover the Stone Essence. Man-In-Stone claims, “” He prompts the Sun Wukong to journey to a cave where, “” he suggests.
Fight your way through more rock guai, including poisestones. Continue along the path above the ravine to reach Rockrest Flats, where the cave is located. In the cave, the Destined One must defeat Mother of Stones and several more palestones. Once beaten, Mother of Stones drops Stone Essence.
