The long-reported 20th anniversary re-release of Beyond Good and Evil will be released next week.
Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition will be available “on all platforms” on June 25, Ubisoft confirmed.
Ubisoft has now deleted its tweet announcing the game’s release date.
The game is set to be shown during the Limited Run Games showcase at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST, so it’s possible that Ubisoft tweeted the news early by mistake.
According to a trailer published on the official Ubisoft account on X (which has since been deleted), the 20th Anniversary Edition will feature new content and other improvements.
These will include a “new Treasure Hunt”, an “anniversary gallery” and “new content”, as well as a “re-orchestrated soundtrack”.
The game will run at up to 4K and 60 frames per second depending on the format.
Ubisoft said earlier this week that it was planning to share news about Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition today.
The title is set to appear during the Limited Run Games showcase, which will air today at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST.
Following multiple leaks, including Ubisoft mistakenly releasing an early version of the game to some of its customers, the company said last November that the previously unannounced Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition would be released in early 2024 for unspecified platforms.
