The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel receives the Reality Royalty Award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted. Bethenny burst onto the scene as an original housewife in the very first season of RHONY. When she stepped on screen, Bethenny defined herself as different from the stuffy and elitist Upper East Side New York circle that she occasionally ran with. Unlike her castmates, Bethenny was, at the time, single and childless, and an ambitious go-getter and burgeoning businesswoman. She shamelessly pushed her beverage company, Skinnygirl, much to the chagrin of the other housewives, particularly Luann De Lesseps. But what made her unpopular in the beginning ultimately led to booming success. Her ambition and blunt personality made Bethenny one of the most beloved housewives.
The Skinnygirl CEO left RHONY after season 3 due to changes in her personal life, namely falling for and marrying businessman Jason Hoppy. Together, the couple shares a daughter named Bryn. Bethenny has been vocal about her notoriously difficult divorce and often revealed on the show the personal turmoil she faced at the hands of her ex. Although she had trouble shaking the ghost of her romantic past, Bethenny is now happily engaged to Paul Bernon, a successful businessman and film producer. She has been adamant in the past that she will not marry again, but it seems Paul has been able to win the city girl's heart. Known for her opinionated nature and uncoated honesty, Bethenny now has a sometimes-controversial podcast, Just B With Bethenny Frankel, where she provides hot takes and advice.
