Final Fantasy has had a big year thanks to the launch of Final Fantasy 16, the latest mainline game and first since 2016. It was also the first numbered entry to make a full-on move to fast-paced action combat, which undoubtedly opened up the series to a lot of new players. Longtime fans who may have bristled at the change of pace are in for some excitement in the near future, as the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is set to launch on February 29, 2024.
Given that it's such an exciting time for the iconic role-playing franchise, it stands to reason that there will be increased interest in Final Fantasy-themed gifts this holiday season. Starting with the obvious, a Final Fantasy game (if you know they don't have it already) would make for the perfect gift. Final Fantasy 16, which released this year, is the obvious choice, but there are other notable titles for modern platforms, too. Final Fantasy 7 fans would be happy with the remastered version of the spin-off Crisis Core. Stranger of Paradise, meanwhile, is an appropriately zany reimagining of the first entry in the series.
