Well Go USA has dropped the official trailer for its upcoming World War I movie starring Australian actor Levi Miller as young soldier facing the brutal realities of war.
“In the film, after leaving his family’s sheep farm in the Australian outback, a young man joins his countrymen on the western front of World War I with hopes of helping expedite an end to the bloody conflict,” reads the synopsis. “But as war rages on, he is forced to grapple with the brutal realities of trench warfare, including a near-constant battle to keep himself alive—without leaving another man behind.”

Before Dawn is directed and produced by Jordon Prince-Wright from a screenplay written by Jarrad Russell, based on the story and characters by Prince-Wright and Russell. The film also stars Travis Jeffery as Thomas Nickels, Myles Pollard as Sgt. Beaufort, Tim Franklin as Big Tooth, Jordan Dulieu as Ned Wright, Peter Sullivan as Archie, Ed Oxenbould as Don, and Stephen Peacocke as Cpl. Beale. It is executive produced by Daniel Chen, Many Chen, Ian Hale, Brad Hammond, and Jeffrey Prince-Wright.
Miller first gained recognition for playing Peter Pan in 2015’s widely-panned fantasy movie Pan, which also starred Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara. He also appeared in Ava DuVernay’s fantasy adventure movie A Wrinkle in Time. He will next be seen in Sony Pictures’ long-delayed Kraven the Hunter movie, where he’ll be playing the young version of the Marvel villain portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
