Batgirl directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah celebrate the movie's recent filming wrap with a set photo alongside lead star Leslie Grace. For years, Warner Bros. had been trying to get a solo movie for Batgirl off the ground, with Joss Whedon once attached to the project. After his departure, the plans finally solidified when Birds of Prey andThe Flash scribe Christina Hodson was hired to write the script, followed by Bad Boys For Life directors El Arbi and Fillal coming aboard as well.
The DCEU film will mark the first cinematic appearance of Barbara Gordon's Batgirl, as actress Alicia Silverstone's Batgirl from 1997's Batman & Robin was changed to Barbara Wilson, and therefore not the daughter of Gotham City Commissioner James Gordon. In the Heights breakout star Leslie Grace leads the cast as the titular heroine. As Batgirl was filming in Glasgow, there were plenty of looks at Grace in costume. A few days ago, the actress took to social media to announce Batgirl has officially wrapped filming and celebrated the achievement with a new set video.

Now, the Batgirldirectors are celebrating the occasion with a post of their own. Adil El Arbi shared a photo on Instagram which shows him and his co-director Bilall Fallah with their arms around Grace, who is in her full crimefighting costume, to celebrate the recent filming wrap.
