Batgirl directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah gave fans a new look at Leslie Grace's Batgirl as production wrapped on the upcoming DC Extended Universe film. The highly-anticipated project will stream on HBO Max later this year, though an exact release date hasn't been announced yet.
Batgirl will introduce the titular character to the live-action DC Universe, though not much else is known about the film's plot. Grace was cast as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in July 2021, and she will be joined by a star-studded ensemble that includesJ.K Simmons as Jim Gordon, Brendan Fraser as Firefly, and Michael Keaton as Batman —a role he famously played in 1989's Batman and its 1992 sequel.

Batgirl began filming at the end of November in Scotland and has now officially wrapped. El Arbi took to social media to celebrate, posting a photo of himself alongside Grace and Fallah. The snapshot shows the trio smiling for the camera, while Grace is wearing her suit and mask. "#BATGIRL!!! It was such a great experience and we are thankful to the amazing crew and cast for making this movie next level!!! STAY TUNED Y'ALL!!! #alhamdulillah," the director wrote in the caption.
