Pokemon Legends: Arceus has been lauded for its innovations on the Pokemon formula. There's no denying that Pokemon Legends: Arceus is entirely different from its predecessors, from its large open zones that allow free-form exploration to the wild Pokemon that can directly attack and harm the player. Pokemon is a famously traditional franchise, so seeing Game Freak produce a game that's so inventive is really exciting. While the major changes in Pokemon Legends: Arceus are naturally worth noting, so are the game's little details, such as the curious lost and found system that allows players to retrieve dropped items for one another.
The concept behind the lost and found is simple: when players black out in the wilderness of the Hisui region, they'll leave a Lost Satchel of dropped items behind. If another player finds the satchel in their game, they'll earn some rewards, and the other player gets their items back. This Pokemon Legends: Arceus feature is simple, but clever enough to deserve a comeback in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Generation 9 games currently in development. The tangible rewards and sense of adventure generated by Pokemon Legends: Arceus' lost and found deserve to find a new home in Scarlet and Violet's region.
