When Game Freak and Nintendo released the Generation 7 Pokemon games, Pokemon Sun and Moon, they introduced the concept of regional variants to the franchise. For the uninitiated, regional variants are essentially remixed versions of existing Pokemon, giving them new looks and typing based on the location in which they live. Pokemon Sword and Shield featured even more regional variants, and so too did the latest main series Pokemon release, Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
It's probable, though unconfirmed at this point, that the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature regional variants of their own. Most of the regional variants created so far have been based on Generation 1 Pokemon, so it stands to reason that whatever regional variants are dreamed up for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will likely also be based on Generation 1 Pokemon. With that in mind, one Pokemon fan has decided to design their own take on a possible regional variant for Generation 1 Pokemon Tauros in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's region has not been revealed at the time of this writing, but it's assumed to be based on Spain. Considering this, Reddit user Bearys_Cave designed a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet regional variant for Tauros inspired by bullfighting. This regional variant for Tauros also functions as a criticism of Spain's controversial bullfighting practice, as they decided to make this version of Tauros a ghost/steel-type Pokemon.
Bearys_Cave pointed out how the bulls used in bullfighting are stabbed with steel javelins, and how they are often killed after their performances. «I wanted to implement this cruelty in my design,» Bearys_Cave explained
