Nearly every gamer likely has a gaming system that makes them wax nostalgic. It doesn't really matter whether it's a home console, handheld, or a PC; every gamer started with a certain platform, and most probably have a favorite gaming system that has left a big impact on their lives.
Such was the case with one gamer who was sad to see their Nintendo DS finally die on them. Rather than throwing the Nintendo DS away or stuffing it into a junk drawer, though, the gamer decided to pay tribute to one of their favorite gaming systems by transforming it into a piece of art.

Redditor Wolve5000 took to the site to share their creation with other gaming fans. In a photo, fans can see the Nintendo DS Lite has been fully dismantled and placed into a shadow box. There, a background is set up to fully detail each piece of the Nintendo DS and what purpose it served in the handheld gaming device. Everything has been laid out to see, including the styluls, wi-fi board, Nintendo DS battery, and even the start and select buttons.
With the Nintendo DS Lite originally launching in 2006, it's not a huge surprise that the unit would finally lose functionality all these years later. Some in the comments noted that it was probably possible to repair the unit, but Wolve5000 indicated they were actively working on the unit's screens when the p6 connector was damaged, and that they lack the ability to fix it, so they chose this fitting tribute for the device instead.
