It has been a bit over a year since the announcement that the anime and manga series Made In Abyss will be made into a video game. Being developed by Chime Corporation and published by Spike Chunsoft, known for titles in the Danganronpa series, the action-RPG Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness now has an official release date this year. According to Spike Chunsoft, the title will be making its way to multiple platforms early September 2022.
In the developers’ recent game update, a Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling Into Darkness trailer was unveiled, and it was announced that the official release window of the title is Fall 2022. The trailer showed snippets of story cutscenes, character creation, and the in-game battle system. Fans will likely appreciate that the game will have an original story by the manga’s author, Akihito Tsukushi, and that it still follows the adventures of the manga’s protagonists Riko and Reg, to some extent.

On Twitter, Spike Chunsoft recently shared that Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling Into Darkness will release on September 2 in the North America and Europe regions. The game will be available on several platforms such as PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, so fans will have their pick on which device they want to play the action-RPG on. Pre-orders have already opened across major video game retailers like GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy for North America. However, interested fans in Europe can only purchase through one channel which is the official Numskull Games website.
