After years of waiting with baited breath during every single Nintendo Direct or Indie Showcase, Hollow Knight fans are probably feeling pretty foolish right now after the game was revealed once again in the last place they expected, during the Xbox and Bethesda joint showcase. A whole bunch of new gameplay was revealed during the showcase, showing the main character taking on a variety of new bosses and enemies.
Best of all, it seems like Hollow Knight: Silksong isn't a Nintendo Switch exclusive any more, as the game will also launch on Xbox consoles as well, with a day one release on Xbox Game Pass. Since the game was announced during an Xbox showcase, there was no indicaton as to whether the game will launch on PlayStation systems as well, although we'll keep you updated. Unfortunately, a release date wasn't announced either.

While most of us pray and hope for Silksong news during most big events, the game was teased a lot more than usual over the course of the past week. Matthew Griffin, the man behind the marketing of Silksong, recently replied to a cryptic Geoff Keighley tweet saying that he "approved of the tease," while a reliable industry insider called The Snitch posted an image of the Hollow Knight bug in that now infamous clown getup with a breen circle around him, indicating a new reveal from Xbox.
We now know that these were pointing to a Silksong update and you'll finally get your hands on the game...
