In the Pokémon games, players take on the role of a Pokémon Trainer, someone who trains the mysterious animals that inhabit their world to battle them against other Trainers, and ultimately become the League Champion. The series has used this same story in almost every title, with few deviations, and the newest game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is the most replayable partly because it diverges from that traditional formula. Recently, new innovations have brought fresh life to games that have become stale over the years, and more could still come.

Voice acting could be big for Pokémon. It has the potential to bring future games to new heights, and make them the best that they've ever been if done right. If done wrong, it also has the potential to drag them down. The same can be said of any other new feature, however, so Pokémon shouldn't let fear of failure keep it from exploring new options that could improve its games. In any case, Pokémon is extremely popular in nations across the world, standing as a giant of the video game industry, so it can afford to take these risks in search of innovation.
