Baldur's Gate 3's highly anticipated Patch 7 is out right now on PC — but unfortunately, the wait continues on PS5. Developer Larian had previously said that the update would take «a little longer» to roll out on consoles, but those who expected it to drop this month are going to be disappointed. It seems as though the studio's having to take some extra steps here, and so Patch 7 is now expected to launch in October on Sony's system.
It's a bit of a shame for those of you who have been gearing up for a brand new playthrough, but we're sure that everyone would rather see Larian take its time to get things right. Just to recap, Patch 7 boasts a bunch of pretty significant improvements — particularly when it comes to evil runs and narrative decisions. Mod support for consoles is also in the works, which could end up being a huge deal. Again, we'd rather Larian nail this, instead of rushing it all out.
Soon!

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
Appreciate the post, found them on X and Larian confirmed patch 7 for consoles will have mod support.

Not really interested in the mods but I'm looking forward to the new cutscenes and other little additions in this patch.
Could be worse, I could be waiting for the Xbox version.
Is the Xbox version delayed even further, @riceNpea?
