Dungeons & Dragons parties can be of any size. There's no real limit unless the DM is uncomfortable with eight people wailing on two little goblins. Baldur's Gate 3 is different. You can only have four people in a group, so you have to pick and choose who to bring with you on your adventure. But modders aren't having any of that, as SildurFX has already removed the limit for the full-release version of the game.
Simply titled "Party Limit Begone", the mod was originally uploaded on May 5, 2022, for the early access build. But as of August 8, it works with the retail release. With it, you can have parties of up to 16 members and multiplayer games with up to eight people. That means you can bring everyone you enlist at your camp along with you for the good fight, rather than telling your favourites to hang back just because they don't mesh with your group's synergy. Fuck synergy, now you can have a small army storming Moonrise Towers.

If you want to download this mod for an existing save, there's a trick to getting it to work. You have to tell one of your four party members to stay behind at camp, which will then switch the limit from four to 16. Afterwards, you can recruit them back along with everyone else. That being said, "Some in-game events are hardcoded for four party members and will glitch out. This is usually solved by either dismissing the additional members/players or by teleporting back and forth."
When downloaded, you will also get a warning on the Larian game launcher telling you that there's a data mismatch, but SildurFX stresses that this is "completely normal and can safely be ignored". The mod itself is pretty simple to get up and
