Bachelorette: Rachel & Gabby Say They Weren't Pitted Against Each Other
The dual journey to find love on The Bachelorette hasn't been easy so far for Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, but they're making one thing crystal clear: they were never pitted against each other. When host Jesse Palmer announced at the conclusion of Clayton Echard's season that the pair would share the spotlight as leads, many wondered how this setup would work. Much of Bachelor Nation actually feared that it would destroy the strong bond between Gabby and Rachel, which they formed while navigating shared heartbreak over Clayton. However, they recently revealed this couldn't be further from the case.
So far on The Bachelorette season 19, both Gabby and Rachel have experienced their share of difficult moments. For Gabby, a particular low came when several men, including Hayden Markowitz, went out of their way to tell her they preferred Rachel. In fact, Hayden described Gabby as "rough around the edges." As for Rachel, she had three men decline her rose when she and Gabby transitioned to separate journeys. This left her wondering whether or not anyone was truly there for her, an insecurity that came to a head during Gabby's group date. As her guys watched Gabby's men box, Rachel grew frustrated when no one even glanced in her direction. Though fans flooded social media with comments about her apparent jealousy, she and Gabby are setting the record straight.
