ASUS's GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX continues to achieve new world records and now the GPU has secured the top place in 3DMark Fire Strike.
The ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX graphics card is a beast of a card as demonstrated by professional overclocker, Allen Matthew aka SPLAVE. The overclocker has already shown over 4 GHz clock speeds on the graphics card and some insane power consumption figures under LN2 cooling and now, the GPU has achieved a brand new world record which beats the previous one with over a thousand points.
Once again, the ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX graphics card was used and the chip was running at up to 3885 MHz clock speeds with temperatures of -34.6C for the GPU and -40.0C on Hot Spot. The memory was tuned to run at 1563 MHz or 25 GB/s which produces an impressive 1.20 TB/s of bandwidth. The platform featured an ASRock Z690 Aqua OC motherboard with DDR5-6446 memory and even the Intel Core i9-13900KF CPU was overclocked to a rock solid 7554 MHz under the same LN2 cooling.
In terms of performance, the ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX GPU scored a mighty 56,489 points overall score in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme, 58,589 in graphics, and 74,624 in the physics tests. That's a +2.5% increase over the previous entry by overclocker, CENS, who had also used a LN2 overclocked RTX 4090 from Colorful (iGame LAB) to achieve his record run.
It's truly spectacular to see all of these world records being achieved by the custom variants of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. We were hoping to see the card get close to 4 GHz but we saw the chip achieve more than that. Besides that, the massive overclocking potential of the 4090 also lets overclockers showcase their impressive skills.
