Pierre Boudreau, a senior Ubisoft writer working on Assassin's Creed: Project Red, may have leaked artwork of the game's protagonist.
Eurogamer reports that Boudreau had initially posted a photo of what players can assume is a female assassin on their LinkedIn profile. Although the picture doesn't show much, it has some iconic Assassin's Creed imagery, including the logo and the traditional peak hood that many characters wear in the series. On top of that, the color scheme shown off aligns with the trailer Ubisoft released last year.
It is worth mentioning that Boudreau has since then changed their background photo. Instead of the unnamed Assassin's Creed character, it includes a photo of Eivor from Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Assassin's Creed: Project Red is set to be the studio's «next premium flagship title» and is expected to launch sometime in 2024. In addition to its release date, Project Red will take place in feudal Japan, where players will be able to live out «a very powerful shinobi fantasy.» The team responsible for Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be taking the lead on Project Red.
This isn't the only Assassin's Creed title that Ubisoft is currently making. The team behind Assassin's Creed Valhalla is working on Project Hexe, and according to executive producer Marc-Alexis Côté, it'll be «a very different type of Assassin's Creed game.»
