Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will arrive on the Apple App Store on June 6. Coming to the latest generation of iPhones and iPads, the release of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage for iOSmarks the first time that fans will be able to play through one of the franchise's major console titles on a mobile device.
First announced at Apple's Wonderlust event in September 2023, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will be the latest AAA game to be released on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, joining titles such as Resident Evil Village, the Resident Evil 4 remake, and Death Stranding. These ports of modern, high-end console games mark the next generation of mobile gaming, made possible by the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max’s powerful A17 Pro chip and six cores, which enable native hardware-based ray tracing. While some of the other AAA tiles were available upon the iPhone 15’s launch, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage was delayed until this year.
Ubisoft has just announced that Mirage will finally launch on the App Store for «iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad Air and iPad Pro with M1 chip or later” on June 6, eight months after the game’s release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Set in 9th Century Baghdad, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage returned the series to its roots with stealth and parkour-oriented gameplay. The iOS version of the game will feature cross-saves and cross-progression, as well as controller support, allowing Apple enthusiasts to pick up and play across their many devices. Fans can preorder the game on the App Store for $49.99, and Ubisoft has already confirmed it will feature multiple in-game cosmetic purchases. However, the developers have also recently revealed that Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will not be getting any future DLC.
While the iPhone 15 port of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage marks a landmark for the franchise by bridging the gap between mobile and console gaming, it is hardly the first Assassin’s Creed title for mobile. Ubisoft has released a number of both 3D
