Ninja Theory has just dropped , one of the most important exclusives for the Xbox brand in 2024. However, while its release is important to the dev team, they are already looking forward to a set of new projects, one of which has recently been greenlit by Microsoft.
The news comes fresh off a post by Ninja Theory on X (formerly Twitter), where studio head Dom Matthews talked about the development of and how the game was meant to be a special title. Windows Central then noted that the team had another project greenlit.
Matthews further commented that “” and that the Ninja Theory team wanted gamers to not just enjoy Senua’s next tale but also have them “” by the time they were done. He’s also grateful to fans who are eager to try the game.
From major AAA releases to high-profile indies, May 2024 will see the release of a huge variety of titles catering to all kinds of players.
The first title that Ninja Theory is known to be developing is Project Mara. The game was announced back in 2020 and, according to the team at the time, is meant to be a “grounded” game routed in the concept of “mental terror.” The team aims to take the real-life accounts of people who have gone through various terrors and recreate them in the gaming space. They’re so confident in what they’re making that they feel this “experimental” title will become a new storytelling medium.

As for the newly greenlit game, it’s unclear what project is being referenced. It’s possible that it could be another new IP like Project Mara, or it could be a potential continuation of Senua’s story.
