ArcheAge had a lot of changes in 2023, including a big merger of ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained into a single competitive experience. XL Games and Kakao Games are now looking ahead, offering a peek at the roadmap for this year. Expect a new race, the Fairy, faction improvements, new systems, cross-server raids, and more this year.
The update, titled “Vision 2024” splits the roadmap into four phases, so we can expect these to roll out over time. In phase one, faction improvements are coming, with a new system based on Faction Points. This means that Exile won’t be tied to a points system and will have more freedom. An overhaul to Akasch Queen’s Rage is also coming to change this to a field raid.
This month–this week, in fact, 11th anniversary gifts become available.
In phase 2, Faction competitions are getting a rework. The aim is to increase the ability to compete on a guild level and to have ongoing battles available to jump into. These include guild base capture, and a global release for Golden Plains Battle.
Phase 3 will reboot Garden of the Gods, Black Dragon, and Kraken to field raids. This means regional competition across servers by entering these field battles and joining the raid. By doing this, there should also be more readily available competitive action to join in on. There will also be a new growth system, Zodiac Constellations.
Finally, in phase 4, the Fairy race arrives. The announcement that they are planning to add the Fairy isn’t new, but now we not only have a timeline, there are new details as well.
