The tension between Deran (Jake Weary) and Craig (Ben Robson) comes to an unfortunate result, while J (Finn Cole) continues to help the family move toward legalizing their business. Glimpses into the Cody family's past continues to illustrate what may have become between Smurf and Julia, answering some of the largest questions that have surrounded the TNT crime thriller since season 1.
Animal Kingdom's latest episode, «Diamonds Are Forever,» spotlights the Cody family's innovative heists and its new system of operations. As always, each of the boys have a role to play in order to pull off the heist successfully, and despite the issues amongst the brothers, it nearly goes perfect. However, «Diamonds Are Forever» also proposes that issues for the Codys have just begun. As Smurf has instilled upon them from a young age, family are the only people they can trust. If there's anything that will force the Codys to put their problems aside, it's trouble.

The jewelry heist gives Animal Kingdom's sixth season a jolt of action that has been largely absent thus far.
