More AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" CPUs are being listed by retailers ahead of launch and the latest one is the Ryzen 5 9600X.
AMD's Ryzen 5 9600X is a 6-core Zen 5 CPU aimed at the AM5 Desktop platform. The chip features 6 cores, 12 threads, a boost clock of up to 5.4 GHz, 38 MB of total cache (L3+L2), and a TDP of 65W. This would be a perfect solution for those who want a new Ryzen 9000 CPU without breaking their wallet while running their workloads such as games and apps super efficiently.
The latest listing of the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU comes from Deal Targets who have put up the chip for $295.22 US which is $5 US lower than the MSRP of the Ryzen 5 7600X. The retailer is also offering a discount for those who buy it in bulk with 10-19 quantities getting a 2% discount while 20-29 units will receive a 3% discount, bringing the price down to as much as $286 US. The retail outlet has just 11 units left in stock and pickup is available through their store located in Markham.
The $295 US pricing might be lower than the MSRP of the last-gen chips but the older chips are currently available at some insane discounts. By spending just $20-$30 US more, you can double the cores with the older Ryzen 9 7900X3D and 7900X CPUs which are currently available at some amazing deals. Even the older Ryzen 5 7600X can be found below $200 US so that definitely puts Ryzen 9000 CPUs in a tough spot.
Besides the Ryzen 5 9600X, Amazon's European outlets are also listing other upcoming Ryzen CPUs such as the Ryzen 9 9900X which is listed for €512.59 & Ryzen 9 5900XT which is listed for €582.35. Both of these chips are listed for retail launch on the 31st of July and based on the prices we are seeing, it looks like the Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" lineup should pretty much match the Ryzen 7000
