THQ Nordic announced a sequel to the Greek mythology inspired ARPG Titan Quest at last year’s THQ Nordic Showcase and followed that up at this year’s showcase with our first look at Titan Quest 2 gameplay.
Developed by Grimlore Games, the developers behind SpellForce 3, Titan Quest 2 will see players will face off with the Goddess of Retribution, Nemesis, who is corrupting the Threads of Fate. The game will feature a flexible character system by allowing players to create their own class by combining two masteries.
The trailer showcases the game’s beautiful and varied locations as the player takes on a myriad mythological creatures. The game looks interesting, though perhaps a bit early with some fairly janky animations.
The original Titan Quest was developed by Iron Lore Entertainment and released back in 2006. It was notable for putting a Greek mythology spin on Diablo’s gameplay and received its first expansion, Titan Quest: Immortal Throne, in 2007. The game was revisited with a follow up expansion titled Titan Quest: Ragnarok in 2017, another titled Atlantis in 2019, and a fourth expansion titled Eternal Embers in 2021.
Titan Quest 2 is available to wishlist now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
