AMD Is Slashing Prices on Its Graphics Cards and CPUs
For what felt like a long time, getting hold of an AMD or Nvidia graphics card was a fruitless endeavor. Either hardware was too difficult to get hold of or the prices were far too steep to justify a purchase. However, things are now looking up. The recent Amazon Prime Day saw GPUs go for discounted prices. But even outside that, it appears as though the tech giants are keen to lower the cost to consumers for some of their major products.
That's according to a recent report from PCGamesN, which says that AMD is discounting down its CPUs and GPUs, specifically its Ryzen 5 and Radeon 6000 ranges, respectively. This means that anyone who is looking to build a new PC, or upgrade their current system, can opt for just the one company when it comes to a processor and graphics card, and it should be a little cheaper than usual. The report goes on to say that these deals are running in the US, UK, and some other countries as well, in select retailers.
AMD RX 6000 Graphics Cards Now Below MSRP
It's possible that team red is offering up this promotion in light of recent events. It's been rumored that Nvidia may be looking to cut graphics card prices, particularly when it comes to the more high-end products, such as the RTX 3080 or 3090. In any case, anyone who's been waiting patiently for prices to drop may find that now is as good a time as any to get hold of some new hardware.
