Pokemon has been a highly successful franchise with few lows since 1996, meaning that loyal players have been making sure they «gotta catch 'em all» for decades. However, the rate of how fast technology is evolving has been rendering games and applications such as Pokemon Bank obsolete has made gathering all of these beloved creatures rather difficult. Despite these challenges, some fans have made sure to keep their collections going strong the best they can. One dedicated fan has taken it upon themselves to finish the Pokedex using trading cards and has shared their impressive progress online with others.
There is special term Pokemon fans use for collections that gather every creature found in the Pokedex and keep them available across one game or storage app. It's called the «Living Pokedex,» with the idea that every single creature found in that person's Pokedex is «alive,» so to speak.

After Reddit user WhyBuffet completed the Living Pokedex with the creatures found in-game, they challenged themselves to create a Living Dex out of Pokemon Trading Cards. In a recent Reddit post, they've shared a nine-minute video reporting their progress by flipping through a binder full of cards organized by the National Pokedex numbers.
According to a comment left by WhyBuffet, out of their impressive set, they're only missing Glastrier, Spectrier, Hisuian Zorua, Zoroark, Sliggoo, Goodra, and Enamorus. The last five deal with creatures found in the recently released Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which are getting made into cards with the next set release.
