Collectopaedia Cards in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are fetch quests given to players by the various NPCs throughout the world. As players visit and interact with the people that inhabit Aionios, a Collectopaedia Card will appear in the quest tab. As players explore and collect the desired items, or kill the requested enemies, they can complete the Collectopaedia Card quest in exchange for various rewards.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the newest title in the franchise, available only on the Nintendo Switch. It is a JRPG that stitches together the stories from the first two games. Players follow Noah and Mio, two off-seers from different nations on Aionios. The off-seers are soldiers who play songs for the recently departed, and for the inhabitants of Aionios, these are a necessary profession because Aionios is at war. The central plot of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 follows the Keves and Agnus nations battling with one another.

As players move through the story and interact with NPCs, they will be given side quests to complete. These are located in the menu, under Quests, and are called Collectopaedia Cards. Collectopaedia Cards do not disappear once fulfilled, and players can complete them many times to continue to earn rewards in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
What makes Collectopaedia Cards unique to other games' fetch quests is that players do not need to return to the quest giver in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 to receive the rewards. Once players get a Collectopaedia Card, search through the Quest menu to find it. Collectopaedia Cards are organized into various categories based on the types of requests; players may need to find flowers, wood, rare gems, food, or even kill enemies.
