Fans have been clamouring for a Red Dead Redemption remaster or remake for some time now. It's probably too soon for a remake, but a current-gen port wouldn't go amiss. John Marston's voice actor, Rob Weithoff, agrees, and he said he'd "love an opportunity to work with [Rockstar] again, whether it be remastering something or something totally different."
Weithoff spoke to YouTuber Dan Allen Gaming about it all, (spotted by The Game Spoof). He added, "I don’t know. I can’t really say enough good things about Rockstar. If they do [remake Red Dead Redemption], great, that would be awesome."

Unfortunately, this is unlikely, despite Weithoff's enthusiasm, as Rockstar has reportedly shelved planned remasters of both Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 in order to focus development resources on GTA 6. The upcoming game is also why Red Dead Online is dead.
He also spoke to the plight of Red Dead Redemption 2's online player base. "I would love for everyone to have whatever they want. I guess the other way you have to look at this, whatever it is Rockstar is doing, and you know they’re doing something huge… you’re going to fall in love with that too."
The actor for Arthur Morgan, Roger Clark, has also spoken about the loss of Red Dead Online, but he had a much more heartfelt message to share. "Although today it has my sympathies I know this community will never die. #outlawsforlife."
The original Red Dead Redemption launched back in 2010 on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and although you can currently stream it via PS Plus, there's no way to natively play it on current-gen consoles.
In other Rockstar news, GTA 6 will reportedly feature the series' first female protagonist.
