With Diablo 4 Season of Blood dropping October 17, we’ve already got a handful of changes and improvements from the patch notes. The most recent campfire chat with the developers demonstrated some of these updates, such as the class balances. All of the five classes received some changes in the 1.2.0 update, but what are they? Here are all the major class balance updates in the Diablo 4 Season 2 patch notes.
Most of the changes for Barbarians are with Skills and Unique items. Now, bonus damage when Berserking is multiplicative instead of additive, Upheaval gets a decent buff, and the Fortify amount for Skills are now based on Maximum Life instead of Base Life. Most of the changes here are buffs, and many of the Paragon Nodes were altered.
As you can see, Blizzard took note of their weaker Paragon Boards, and now they’re buffed quite a bit. The multiplicative Berserking damage is also a big change and will allow the damage bonuses to stack. Now you should have more of an incentive to play a Barbarian in Season 2.
Again with Druids, Fortify generation is now based upon Maximum Life instead of Base Life. Most of these changes are pretty small numerical differences, mainly buffs over nerfs. Although there were many shifts in Skills, there were also a lot of Passives changed.
In the fireside chat, the developers outlined how Druids are already in a pretty good place. This is why you don’t see as many updates here. Otherwise, there were some pretty decent buffs to Ravens and Rabies, mainly damage-wise.
