Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 has sold over two million units as of December 31st, 2024. The developer revealed this new milestone in its Q3 fiscal year 2025 financial highlights, confirming that the survival horror title has begun accruing royalties.
Its development and marketing budget have been fully recouped – an improvement over August 2024 when it earned back “most” of those costs. Overall revenue for Remedy is up by 13.1 percent, hitting €11.7 million for the quarter, up from €10.3 million compared to the same period last year.
Alan Wake 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review for the base game here. It also received two story expansions – Night Springs and The Lake House.
The latter offered some potential teases for Control 2, which Remedy has confirmed will be an action RPG. There’s no release date, but the sequel will enter full production this month. Head here for more details.
