We’ve known since the launch of Alan Wake 2 that Remedy was preparing two pieces of story DLC for the game, but now we’ve finally laid eyes on the first expansion. Alan Wake 2: Night Springs focuses on the in-universe late night TV show Night Springs, essentially the Alan Wake version of The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and other similar shows.
The first trailer for Alan Wake 2: Night Springs, revealed during the Summer Game Fest kickoff show, leaves no doubt that we’re diving even deeper down the series’ weird multimedia rabbit hole. The DLC will include three “episodes,” each starring a different character – Alan Wake’s “biggest fan” Rose Marigold, Jesse Faden from Control, and... Shawn Ashmore? As in, the actual actor?
