Adobe is teasing a new photo editing engine that uses AI to make moving, modifying, or deleting anything a simple mouse-click operation.
As Techspot reports, it's called "Project Stardust" and Adobe isn't planning to officially reveal the new feature until the Adobe Max 2023 Creativity Conference being held in Los Angeles next week. However, the video below gives us a pretty good idea of just how capable this new AI photo editing engine is.
As you can see, Adobe has taken tasks that usually require an experienced editor who knows the tools (or a good tutorial) and turned them into a single-click operation handled by an AI. That's sure to make a few professionals sweat, but Adobe could be about to shake things up considerably more at Max 2023.
The video also promises we'll get to see "mind-blowing new AI features" integrated into Firefly, Creative Cloud, and Express next week.
We've already seen Adobe replace guesswork with AI text prompts in Express, how Firefly can expand and alter your existing artwork in Photoshop, and Lightroom using AI for automatic noise reduction. However, Adobe was clearly only just starting to dip its toe into AI integrations and we could be in for a few surprises next week.
