A Cyclops cameo would make more sense than an appearance from Wolverine in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Both X-Men heroes are subjects of rumors regarding Marvel Comics characters who might show up in Doctor Strange’s next MCU adventure. If either was to appear, they’d likely be associated with whatever story Marvel has planned for Charles Xavier, who is believed to be a member of the MCU’s Illuminati team.
The reveal that Patrick Stewart is reprising his role as Professor X in Doctor Strange 2 was followed by a number of rumors about the X-Men. It’s been said that a new version of Wolverine will make his MCU debut in the film, which would be an exciting prospect, especially since the mutant is such a beloved character. In addition, there have been rumors of Cyclops appearing instead, with James Marsden once again playing his Scott Summers character from Fox’s X-Men trilogy. Marsden has refuted the rumors, claiming that he won’t be back to play Cyclops in Doctor Strange 2. However, this doesn’t necessarily rule out the possibility of a new interpretation of Cyclops appearing in some capacity.

If Doctor Strange 2 were to include one of the two X-Men heroes as a surprise character, Cyclops would be the choice that makes the most sense. In the comics, Cyclops was hand-picked by Professor X to lead the X-Men, and after many years, he eventually evolved into one of the most important and influential leaders in the entire Marvel Universe.
