Baldur's Gate 3 is out tomorrow for PC and next month for PS5, but there's no sign of an Xbox release--we might even have to wait until 2024. In the meantime, Game Pass is adding Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 to the service, making the '90s Black Isle Studios classics easier to play than ever.
"According to a push notification that some subscribers are receiving, it looks as though Baldur's Gate 1 and Baldur's Gate 2 are coming to Game Pass," Game Pass Tracker tweeted. "This has happened two other times this year with Shadow Warrior 3 Definitive Edition and Maquette, and both wound up actually happening."

Others like @FishSt1ck also claim they saw the push notification, but that the games are currently "nowhere to be found in the app". The image Game Pass Tracker attached, which you can see embedded below, was provided by @SlideBrain, and shows an email from Xbox about the two Baldur's Gate games coming to the service. These are already available as a bundle on Xbox but will set you back £41.74. It's also worth noting that they aren't backwards compatible, they're a bundle of the enhanced editions developed by Beamdog which launched in 2019.
If you don't have an Xbox but want to try out the originals before playing Baldur's Gate 3, they're also available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation. The first game is currently 65 percent off on Steam for £5.86, or you can get the Classic Saga Bundle for £22.78. This includes the first and second games, as well as the Siege of Dragonspear DLC. Granted, that's a lot of RPG in one go, but if you're on Xbox, you have plenty of time until Starfield and even longer before Baldur's Gate 3.
