Xander Cage 4: Vin Diesel-Led xXx Sequel Gets Disheartening Update

With working to get Riddick 4: Furya, and Fast X: Part 2 out quickly, updates have been scarce for the franchise’s. But a new one has come from xXx: Return of Xander Cage’s. However, it could disappoint fans who were looking forward to the Diesel-led sequel.

While promoting her latest film Dirty Angels, Ruby Rose was asked about xXx 4. Unfortunately, the former Batwoman star didn’t have any information to pass on having heard nothing about its development.

In her interview with ScreenRant, Rose commented on Xander Cage 4’s status saying:

“I haven’t heard anything. I haven’t heard anything since 1974 (laughs). No, I don’t know. I would hope so because I would love to work with that cast and crew again. [They’re] incredible people.”

The actress further stated that Vin Diesel is currently busy with future Fast & Furious installments. That’s why xXx 4 has likely been pushed back. Rose concluded:

“I think Vin’s busy doing lots of Fast and The Furious 312 and I don’t know, but that would be, that was another really fun mission movie, I guess might’ve been my only other real mission movie, but very different tonally than Dirty Angels. Dirty Angels is a much more serious film.”

xXx 4 was put in the works after xXx: Return of Xander Cage made $346 million at the worldwide box office. However, the development of the project has been very slow despite the threequel’s profitability. In 2023, Diesel shared an Instagram photo of himself with co-star Deepika Padukone, reminiscing about their work on xXx 3. Albeit, he hasn’t provided any other updates on the sequel since then.

Vin Diesel’s eyes are currently set on Fast X: Part 2 and Riddick 4, which hints at the fact that Xander Cage 4 won’t arrive any time soon if it ever gets made.
