Last month, Tencent and Level Infinite announced that they’ll be shutting Alchemy Stars. Launched in June 2021 on mobile, Alchemy Stars will now be available as an offline version instead. That means, after the official shutdown of the game, you can replay the story.
It is shutting down its live service run on January 24th, 2025. To prepare for the offline version of Alchemy Stars, they’re doing some maintenance on January 10th from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT to roll out version 1.43.0.
So, you’ll need to update your game after that to access the local data save feature. This is crucial because it’s your one shot to keep all the progress you’ve made so far. You’ll find a data save button on the main page. Tap it, and you’ll be taken to a page where you can save your user data.
You can save your data multiple times, but only until January 24th at 4:00 GMT. After that, any unsaved data is gone forever.
Once the game transitions to the special offline edition, there will be no more updates. Also, if you delete the app, you won’t be able to download it again. Even reinstalling isn’t an option. The offline version will let you mess around with your saved data, play the story and upgrade units.
Having an offline version is better than a complete shutdown, what do you think? So, gear up for the offline version and grab the game from the Google Play Store before it disappears.
