American fans can now pre-order the life-sized Gardevoir plush revealed in Japan earlier this month, provided they can afford the steep price tag. It's not uncommon for Japanese audiences to get merchandise that never makes it to American shores and it seemed likely that the massive Gardevoir would be one of those. However, it seems that western fans won't be left out this time.
The 5.25-foot plush version of the gen-3 psychic and fairy Pokémon is now available for preorder for western buyers on the Center website. The Gardevoir plush has been available in Japan for about a week, and is now available for American buyers. The Hoenn-region plush is priced at a hefty $449.99 and is expected to ship around mid-July 2025.
Gardevoir is the final evolution of the Pokémon Ralts, and it's become popular for its elegant design and humanoid features. According to the Pokémon's official Pokédex entries,Gardevoir is a loyal companion prepared to protect its owner with its psychic powers. The Pokédex also has Gardevoir standing at about five feet, which is on-par with the plush version of the Pokémon, whose dimensions measure at about 63 inches tall, 16 ½ inches wide, and 26 inches long.
The problems for players attempting to collect this Pokémon TCG set have been present since day 1, but it doesn't look to be going away anytime soon.
The Pokémon is said to be based on the concept of the guardian angel, and is known as an «Embrace Pokémon.» Appropriately, the huge Pokémon plush has poseable arms for maximum huggability. It's worth noting that the toy cannot stand on its own, and is shown posed sitting on a chair and propped up against a wall in one of the product photos. Non-Japanese fans can now also have their very own accurately sized guardian Pokémon watching over them at home.
