A WWE 2K23 fan has created the wrestler Mercedes Mone, previously known as Sasha Banks, in the game's custom character creator. Although WWE 2K23 won't be fully released until March 17th, the early access players are already busy creating content for the new game.
Mercedes Mone is a popular wrestler both in and out of game, and appeared in all the WWE 2K games from 2017-2022 until WWE 2K23. She fought under the ring name Sasha Banks, and was influential in changing and advanced women's wrestling in the real world. However, she decided to leave WWE and join NJPW and Stardom, which is why she is not part of the WWE 2K23 character roster. Understandably, fans still want to see her in the new WWE 2K game, so this fan took matters into his own hands using the Create-A-Wrestler feature, or CAW, which is a staple of many wrestling games like WWE 2K23.

The custom Mercedes Mone character was designed by Reddit user u/DWi1son, also known as Zaddik. Many other users commented on the incredible accuracy of the design and applauded Zaddik for his work. Zaddik has made other extremely accurate character designs in the past, and many players are excited to see more of his work to supplement the WWE 2K23 roster.
The removal of Mercedes Mone is one of the many changes to the game's character roster. New characters, like the rapper Bad Bunny, have been added to the game. There are also two unique John Cena variants in the game, called Super Cena and Action Figure John Cena.
