The PS5 Pro has been officially announced, and we've all seen the price. It's all anyone's been talking about since the reveal, and there's a genuine sense of disbelief surrounding the fact that Sony's charging $700 / £700 for its upgraded console. And for the record, we're in the same boat, expressing our bemusement in a dedicated Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive? article (the answer, it's broadly agreed, is yes).
Anyway, the backlash has got us thinking: if the PS5 Pro wasn't so eye-wateringly expensive, would you actually be interested in buying it? Assuming the lack of a disc drive (sold separately) doesn't put you off to begin with, of course!
