As the time-hopping rescue mission in X Lives of Wolverine comes to a close, Logan finds his mind lost in Marvel Comics' expansive timeline, with seemingly no way to return to his body in the present as Jean Grey desperately tries to retrieve his mind! Wolverine has lived for a long time, more than a century in fact, so trying to bring Logan's mind back from the brink is going to be harder than anyone expected.
X Lives of Wolverine has been an insightful yet painful journey through Logan's many lives, mirroring its twin series X Deaths of Wolverine, which is following a future Logan, dubbed the Omega Wolverine, who was sent back to the present using Phalanx technology in a bid to stop Moira X. Using the Cerebro Sword, a psychic tool created from a destroyed Cerebro helmet by Magneto as a gift for Xavier, Mikhail Rasputin has sent Omega Red back through time to possess various people's bodies, in an attempt to destroy the X-Men once and for all. The brutal adventure in X Lives has seen Wolverine's psyche being sent back in time with the help of Charles Xavier and Jean in a last ditch effort to stop Omega Red and Rasputin killing Xavier's ancestors, effectively destroying the X-Men and Krakoa.
