Wizards of the Coast recently announced that the Spelljammer campaign setting is returning to Dungeons & Dragons after nearly thirty years away. Spelljammer has been highly requested by D&D fans for a long time, as the last official sourcebooks for the setting were released in 1993, yet it's only now returning in 2022. A crew of a spelljammer could travel between the different D&D campaign worlds, or explore the dark reaches of space that are normally unreachable by magic. This means that there can be D&D campaigns where the party are intergalactic explorers, treasure hunters, or bloodthirsty pirates.
