Bruce Campbell confirms his Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cameo after years of teasing fans. The first Marvel Studios movie of 2022 continues on from Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw a Doctor Strange-spell-gone-wrong open up the MCU to variants from other universes. After holding its official premiere earlier this week, Doctor Strange 2 hits theaters this Friday, May 6.
While fans have spent a lot of energy theorizing potential Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cameos, particularly once Patrick Stewart's Professor X was confirmed, those who care about the movies of director Sam Raimi have been most interested in one actor's appearance. Since meeting in high school, Raimi and Campbell have been close collaborators, with the latter either starring or cameoing in many of the former's projects. While Campbell being in London during Doctor Strange 2 filming got the rumors circulating, he has remained coy, noting that, even if he had filmed material, the constant reshoots and story changes would make it impossible for him to know if he had made the final cut.
