In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you travel from one settlement to the next in search of adventure. Of course, it’s a given that your items will suffer wear and tear. And, yes, sometimes these items might not have been yours in the first place, since you probably nicked them from some hapless villager. Still, you might be wondering how to earn a few Groschen (i.e. cash) with your wares. Here’s our Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 guide on where to sell your stolen and damaged items.
Item indicators in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

- Dirty (blood): Appears as a red droplet of blood.
- Dirty (grime): Appears as a brownish germ icon.

Selling stolen property
Generally speaking, you can sell most stolen items in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but there are some caveats:
- You can only sell items that match a particular merchant type–i.e. tailors buy all sorts of clothing except armors.
- Continue leveling up your Speech stat so you can unlock the Hustler perk. This nets you bonus Thievery and Stealth experience whenever you sell stolen goods.
- Some merchants tend to be okay with stolen goods, but they pay only a fraction of the amount. There are two ways to alleviate this issue:
- Place items inside your personal stash/chest and wait for several days to elapse. The “stolen” tag should eventually disappear.
- Travel to another village, different from the settlement where you robbed everyone, and sell your wares there.
- If your reputation in a town is too low, most NPCs will avoid talking to you.
- Merchants will recognize stuff that they own. Do not attempt to sell them their own wares or they’ll immediately call the guards.
