ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for Indican Pictures’ upcoming musical drama titled,. The movie hails from Remember the Titans director Boaz Yakin.

Legendary street dancer DeRay and spoken-word poet and battle rapper Naima explore a powerful love built on recognition and trauma that contains both the potential for inspiration and destruction,” reads the official synopsis. “Take an electrifying journey through the vibrant and impressionistic experience of their relationship to each other and through their own creative personal voyages in this hip-hop fantasia that opens a door into the choices we all make in our lives.”
Once Again (For the Very First Time) is written and directed by Yakin. The cast includes Jeroboam Bozeman as DeRay, Mecca Verdell as Naima, Tommy Raps as Chuck E, Jennifer Merin as the Old Lady in the Hall, Lutricia Alexander as DeRay’s mother, Iroko Anyogu as 2 Time, Ashleigh Awusie as Naima’s mother, Terrence Berry as Temple MC, Emma Faith Bullard as Little Naima, Dupree Francois Porter as Little DeRay, and more.
The film is produced by Jason Cacioppo, Jonathan Gray, Nicholas Gray, Aleksa Kurbalija, Hilary Stabb, and Yakin, with Van Lathan Jr. and Nicholas Maye serving as executive producers. The creative team also includes cinematographer Ray Huang and editor Jason Cacioppo, with Marcus Norris providing the music.
