The is an exciting upcoming set for fans of the collectible trading card game, but it won't be as simple to pick up as other products. Tying into Disney's D23, the company's official fan club that offers perks for annual memberships, this set features 6 special foil cards that feature artwork from edge to edge for a truly striking look. One remixed card is included from each expansion, with a sixth card featuring the original icon Oswald the Lucky Rabbit tying into the upcoming sixth set in November.

This isn't the first time that will release cards connected to the D23 program, as the game's original marketing cycle included early releases of some cards at the 2023 D23 Expo. Although these cards are generally identical to standard releases aside from a D23 logo on the bottom, their limited availability has made them highly collectible. The new shouldn't be quite as elusive, but as far as the card designs go, it does offer something that stands out more from the standard product line.

Disney Lorcana has revealed a unique collection of cards celebrating the TCG’s first anniversary, available at the D23 Expo and select retail stores.

The TCG will be available through several different venues, with the most predictable being the show floor at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. A booth from publisher Ravensburger will offer the at a retail price of $99.99 with a purchase limit of two per customer. The event runs from August 9 to 11, coinciding with the August 9 early access release of the set, which will also be available to purchase at the booth along with other Ravensburger Disney products.

Despite the name change, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is the same convention as the D23 Expo.

Picking up the at the expo also comes with a couple of promotional perks while supplies last. The card Mickey Mouse — Playful Sorcerer is getting a D23 promotional version, and a Mickey Mouse pin will celebrate the first anniversary of the trading card game.
