WhatsApp is soon going to withdraw its support from some older iPhones. The Facebook-owned texting platform WhatsApp is likely to drop support from older iPS versions- iOS 10 and 11. The news has been shared by WhatsApp development tracker WABetaInfo. As per the report, the instant messaging platform will stop supporting older versions of iOS operating systems including iPhone 5, and iPhone 5C. However, you don’t need to panic as companies do such things to implement new changes and enhance the security and safety of the user's privacy with several threats. Here’s which OS system will lose WhatsApp support.
iPhone holders with iOS 10, iOS 11 or less will no longer be able to WhatsApp and send messages, photos, videos, or any other services provided by the platform in coming months. The Meta owned messaging platform is planning to drop support for iOS 10, iOS 11, iPhone 5, and iPhone 5C. The report suggests that WhatsApp will stop supporting the above mentioned iPhones from October 24, 2022, which is like five months away. These devices will not be able to function properly with all these features. The least supported iOS will be iOS 12 and above to fully enjoy the features of WhatsApp like emoji reaction and others. And since iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C are not compatible with iOS 12, users would not be able to use WhatsApp once the new changes will start rolling out.

If your iPhone or operating system is old, then you won’t be able to install the updated version of WhatsApp and soon your WhatsApp will not function at all. However, if you have an iOS12 compatible device and it is not updated yet then you must do it immediately to continue to enjoy
