Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre have been criticized by 90 Day Fiancé fans for their financial instability, but Ariela is planning to stop relying on her parents so much by hosting a yard sale. Viewers were first introduced to Ariela and Biniyam when they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. After first traveling to Ethiopia in 2017, Ariela met and fell in love with Biniyam, and the two had a son, Aviel, in 2019. Ariela and Biniyam finally got engaged in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2, and now the couple, while in 90 Day Fiancé season 9, are focused on Biniyam joining Ariela and Aviel in the United States.
Ariela's parents, Janice and Fred Weinberg, have helped support the 90 Day Fiancé couple since their early TLC days, with her parents most recently securing them a two-bedroom apartment in New Jersey. After paying their new home's deposit, first month's rent, cable, Internet and electricity, Janice and Fred told Ariela and Biniyam that they need to take over future payments. While viewers consider this a reasonable request for two adults with a child, Ariela immediately became defensive and claimed that the couple has no savings. Fans were shocked at Ariela's resistance to taking over the bills, especially considering that the 31-year-old recently admitted to receiving Botox and a Brazilian butt lift. She has been accused of being spoiled by her parents ever since, with viewers also calling her immature.
