Everything We Know About Samsung's Rugged XCover6 Pro
This year, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy XCover6 Pro, and multiple recent leaks have seemingly revealed everything about the upcoming rugged smartphone. Samsung's XCover series is known for offering a slew of rugged features not seen in other Galaxy smartphones like the Galaxy S22-series flagships or the Galaxy A-series mid-rangers. The range of unique features provided by the XCover line includes MIL-STD-810 certification, IP68 rating, and even a removable battery.
Last year, Samsung launched an XCover-branded device when the company released the Galaxy Xcover 5, with an Exynos 850 processor and running Android 11 out-of-the-box. The successor to that device has been doing the rounds of the rumor mill, having popped up on the Google Play Console in late May. The listing revealed some of the key details about the smartphone, including its design and specifications. The device was also spotted on GeekBench earlier this year, but it was then thought to be the XCover 2 Pro.

The latest leaks regarding the XCover6 Pro come from prolific tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, a.k.a. Oneleaks, who teamed up with GizNext to reveal almost all of the key specifications and design aspects of the upcoming smartphone. Looking at the design first, one look at the renders shows that, like any other XCover device, it will be more utilitarian than elegant. The phone comes with thick bezels on all four sides and a teardrop notch at the top to house the front-facing camera. In addition, it will likely be built out of hard textured polycarbonate for additional grip. The renders also show a dual-camera setup at the back with what looks to be an LED flash.
