So I left the site as a regular contributor a week or so back, (my reasons being my own), however one of their regular articles «What We've Been Playing» has always been a good one and I thought I'd nip over and share my weeks worth of gaming. After over a decade of membership I didn't think it would be a problem.
I was met with «Your post is awaiting approval from our moderation team, and will be visible shortly»
Now, any other topic that might drive contention I might understand, but something as innocuous as «What We've Been Playing» receiving such heavy handed treatment has raised an eyebrow. How does such an attitude from the, albeit, new editor feel this is conducive to healthy debate? This isn't moderation, this is out and out censorship.
Anyway, I just find it such a bizarre stance for a respected site to take. Strikes me that under the new editor Eurogamer has fallen down a rabbit hole that they are now seemingly struggling to crawl out of (???)
