The Umbrella Academy season 3 introduces Fei Hargreeves, a new character with an exciting superpower to work around her blindness, which has left viewers wondering what happened to her eyes. Portrayed by Britne Oldford, Fei is a member of the Sparrow Academy, individually referred to in The Umbrella Academy season 3 as Sparrow Number Three. She is depicted as being blind, and her superpower is the ability to manifest a murder of crows at any time, put them under her control, and use them as her eyes.
In The Umbrella Academy season 3, as Fei wears dark sunglasses to hide her damaged eyes, the crows also help her to see the world differently under even the weirdest of lights. She also can command the crows to attack others whom she perceives as hostile. Fei is one of the more dangerous of the 16 superpowered children in the Sparrow timeline, a quality that most of them understand as they try not to cross her in any way.

Fei is secretive and simultaneously assertive, but it's her lack of eyesight that becomes her biggest strength. One reason for Fei's scars, which also bleed profusely at times, could be that her eyes were, at some point, pecked out by the very crows she creates. This is evidenced in a conversation Fei has with Ben, although what happened to her eyes is never fully described in The Umbrella Academy season 3.
